The Guinness Book of
World Records company has declared a big crocodile alleged for deadly attacks
in the southern Philippines
is the largest in captivity in the world. The Crocodile has brought attention,
tourism revenues, boost and fear to the distant town where it was capture. The
crocodile named Lolong. It was captured last Sept. in Bunawan town in Agusan Del
Sur province. Lolong measures 20.24 feet and weight more than a ton, The
Guinness Book spokesperson Anne Lise Rouse said in a report on Sunday. The
crocodile took the top spot from an Australian crocodile, which measured more
than 17 feet and weighed nearly a ton.
Every body has pleased
for the reptile. It has become the star attraction of a new ecotourism park and
research center in the outskirts of Bunawan.
The Banawan Mayor Edwin
said his town has earned 3 million pesos ($72,000) from the modest entrance
fees at park, with most of the money being used to feed and care for the
reptile and for park maintenance.
Actually is very painful
matter that the crocodile was captured with steel cable traps during a three-week
hunt after a child was killed in 2009 and an angler went missing. Official
source said that crocodile have also attacked water buffalos in the area.
Really, the crocodile is
a countable reptile for The Guinness Book of World.
